Message from KFA Kenya
August 9, 2025
Dear Comrades and Friends,
Dear Organizers and Participants of the E-Seminar,
Dear Representatives of the Korea Association for Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries and the Korea Association for Friendship with European Countries,
On behalf of the Korean Friendship Association of Kenya (KFA Kenya), we extend our warmest and most heartfelt greetings to all participants of this E-seminar convened to mark the 80th anniversary of Korea’s historic liberation from Japanese imperialist rule.
This is a deeply meaningful occasion not only for the Korean people but also for the progressive people across the world who value sovereignty, justice, and the right of nations to determine their own destiny free from foreign domination.
Eighty years ago, under the resolute leadership of the great Comrade Kim Il Sung, the Korean people rose in unity and determination to reclaim their homeland from colonial oppression. The legacy of this struggle continues to inspire people in Africa and throughout the Global South, where the pursuit of independence and dignity remains an ongoing effort.
We recognize the enormous contribution made by Comrade Kim Il Sung, the eternal President of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, in advancing the cause of national liberation—not only for Korea but for oppressed peoples everywhere. His unwavering commitment to self-reliance, independence, and people-centered governance remains a beacon of guidance in our own struggle for a more just and equitable world.
Today, as we celebrate eight decades of liberation, we also express our deep admiration for the people of the DPRK who, under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, continue to uphold their sovereignty and dignity in the face of persistent imperialist pressure and hostility.
We are confident that this E-seminar will further strengthen the bonds of international friendship and solidarity among those who share the values of independence, peace, and mutual respect. We remain committed to working hand in hand with friends around the world in supporting the just cause of the Korean people and promoting deeper understanding of the DPRK’s history, achievements, and aspirations.
May the friendship between the peoples of Kenya and the DPRK continue to grow stronger. We wish all participants a successful and meaningful seminar.
Long live the friendship and solidarity among progressive peoples!
Long live the cause of independence and peace!
Long live the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea!
In solidarity,
KFA Kenya
Nairobi, Republic of Kenya
