The Letter of Appeal to the world Progressive People adopted by the seminar "President KIM IL SUNG and self-reliance 09.08.2025


Dear comrades and friends,

Soon, the Korean People and the world progressive people will greet the

80th Founding Anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea(WPK) which boasts of  the longest ruling history of Socialism.


Since its founding on October 10, 1945, the WPK has regarded the

People-first principle as its main political idea and made selfless, devoted

effort for the people, and built the powerful socialist Korea of today that

serves everything for the people.


Recently, the high-handedness and arbitrariness of the imperialist

aggressive forces and their aggressive moves are becoming undisguised,

and due to it the whole world is suffering from misery and pain in the war

and tumult of flesh and blood, but only in the socialist Korea led by the

WPK, the people are enjoying a stable and happy life, and new policies for

the people are being  continuously enforced.


As the great Party of the Independence Era, the WPK has made a great

contribution in carrying out the cause of global independence, and thus it

is regarded as an object of envy and the mainstay of mind,a beacon of hope

among the world progressive people.


The WPK, that is displaying its might to the full and also making a new

future of the socialist Korea, is marking its proud 80th years of foundation,

and this historic day comes nearer, the excited minds of the world

progressive people, who love peace and aspire after independence, are

heading towards the DPRK.


The world progressive people pay the highest tribute to the Worker’s Party

of Korea, the great people’s party, and publish this Appeal below, sharing

the common recognition that their hearts to celebrate the 80th Founding

Anniversary of the WPK as a grand political festival of human history.

1. In order to significantly celebrate the 80th Founding Anniversary of

the WPK as a grand political festival of human history, we set the

month of celebration from August 15 (which is the 80th anniversary

day of Korea Liberation) to October 10 (which is the 80th founding

anniversary of the WPK), and during these period we will going to

elevate the celebrating atmosphere to the world-wide scale.

During the month of celebration, the friendship and solidarity

organizations with Korean people organized in different parts of the world, will form the celebration preparatory committees and select the

celebrating periods, and also organize and conduct colorful political

and cultural events in a meaningful way to introduce the great history

of the WPK.



2. On the occasion of the 80th Founding Anniversary of the WPK, in

various regions around world will going to organize special

international events grandly.

- As the beginning of the month of celebration, on the occasion of the

80th anniversary day of Korea Liberation, the European Regional

Committee for the Friendship with Korean People(ERCFKP)will

organize and conduct an E-seminar under the title of the “President

Kim Il Sung and self-reliance” on August 9 th .

- In European region, under the auspices of the Korean Friendship

Association, the International E-seminar and Photo exhibition under

the title of the “80 years of the glorious WPK building the future of

the country” is going to be held from October 4 th to 8 th .

- In America region, under the joint name of the Latin America and

Caribbean regional committee for Solidarity with DPRK and

Mexican-Korea Solidarity Committee will significantly organize

and conduct celebrating event on October on the occasion of the 80 th

Founding Anniversary of the WPK.


3. In the month of celebration, the solidarity activities supporting the just

cause of the Korean people will be conducted in international scale

continuously.


We will actively support the struggle of the Korean people for realizing

the peace and security of the Korean peninsula, the region and world,

and also energetically conduct solidarity activities in various countries

and regions to expose the anti-DPRK moves and the theory of the war

threat of the US imperialist and its vassal forces, who are becoming

ever more outrageous. Those activities would rather create an incited

atmosphere of the celebration and solidarity the international

celebration month would create rather incited


Expressing great expectation and conviction that the world progressive

people in different countries would celebrate the 80th Founding

Anniversary of the WPK as a grand political festival of the human

history by cooperating with each other and maintaining the unity of action

during the month of celebration, and also sure that this Letter of

Appeal would be fully agreed by all.
